If you love privacy, the natural environment, and like to have a roof over your head, but don't require 5 star accommodation, then Nutshell caravan could be the place for you. Nutshell can accommodate up to 4 people and lies in a secluded woodland area with magnificent views over the lake.

Nutshell caravan looks down over the lakeside, a walk away from the campsite, see our location map for more detail. Access is via a short driveway off the main road opposite the laybys. The caravan is 26 ft by 10 ft (7.7 m x 2.9.m) and offers a large living area, separate double bedroom, bathroom with running water and a flush toilet. Lighting is by 12 volt electricity and cooking is on a gas stove. An outside area includes seating and an outdoor fireplace. Check out our photo page for images of this clean and airy place to stay.

Nutshell is let by the week, Saturday to Saturday and must be booked in advance. It is available from Easter until the end of October and costs £150.00 per week in the low season and £175.00 per week in the high season* (*bank holidays and from 20th July to 1st September). A deposit of £50.00 is required with your booking, and the balance must be paid at least two weeks before you arrive. What you need to bring: Nutshell Caravan has crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils for 4 people. There is also a bathmat, drying up towel, one rubbish bag and cleaning products. You will need to bring bedding, including pillows, towels, food and any special crockery requirements.

Conditions apply: We respect the environment and ask that you do too. Separate cans and glass for recycling. Do not collect wood from the woodlands nearby, and be careful of standing on young trees, marked by stakes. Dogs must be kept either inside, in your car, or on a leash at all times as there are sheep nearby. Please read and respect the Country Code.
