Llyn Gwynant Campsite is located in North Wales in Eryri National Park (formerly Snowdonia National Park) just 3 miles as the crow flies from the top of Yr Wyddfa (Mt Snowdon). Approximate driving times to the campsite are as follows:
– Manchester 2 hr 20 min via M56, A55 taking exit 19 at Conwy heading south on A470. Then take B5106, A5 and A4086 to A498.
– Liverpool 1 hr 50 min via A55 taking exit 19 at Conwy heading south on A470. Then take B5106, A5 and A4086 to A498.
– Birmingham 2 hr 40 min via M54, A5 turning south on A4086 at Capel Curig then to A498 at Pen-y-Gwyrd Hotel junction.
– London 4 hr 50 min via M1 then A5. Turn south on A4086 at Capel Curig then to A498 at Pen-y-Gwyrd Hotel junction.

The campsite is accessed by taking a turn off the A498, just at the head of the lake, beside our large green campsite sign. Large vehicles such as motorhomes can only access by taking a left hand turn heading north (up the hill), and so you may need to turn in the layby beside the lake.  The Landranger grid reference for the campsite is SH649524. The Lat/Long is 53 03′ 08N, 4 01′ 01W. Note that a number of older SatNavs give incorrect locations for this postcode LL55 4NW and place the campsite at the wrong end of the lake! Google Maps and Ordnance Survey maps show the campsite correctly at the north end of the lake.
