The barn complex is ideal for groups who want a large private space in a beautiful outdoor setting. We are very popular with outdoor organisations, schools, and with large groups of friends who want to camp privately together with a large indoor space available for food preparation and other sociable activities. The barns are close to a wide range of outdoor adventure activities, many of which are available directly from the site. We offer discounts for group boat hire and group discounts for our adventure activities. Many groups use the private barn fields for camping, sometimes with people also sleeping on the alpine style bunk platforms inside. These platforms can also for other purposes such as private office space. Food preparation, dining, recreational and educational activities can all take place indoors, as the barns offer a wide range of facilities. The barns also suit groups coming in winter as they have the security of sleeping indoors if the weather becomes poor. In the very low season small groups may use just the camping and bunk barn, in which case only barn field is provided for camping. In the main season we only let out the entire barn complex in which case the second field Cae hendre is also available. Together the two fields can accommodate up to 150 - 250 campers, depending on tent arrangements, and for this reason a wide range of school and outdoor centre summer camps take place at the Llyn Gwynant barns. Groups are welcome to have fires so long as they are on our campsite steel firepits. A large celebration 'firewok' is also available by arrangement and in addition there is one large fire site on Cae hendre. All fires however must be from wood bought from us, so that we can avoid nails and sharp items in wood, as well as to protect our woodlands. Conditions apply for using the barns, so any group using the barns must read and agree to our Terms and conditions: these are also available as a pdf file Terms and conditions. Charges: Campers pay an additional fee on top of our usual camping fee for the public campsite. A minimum charge for the barns also applies. Groups camping at the barns can use our boat hire and registered instructors on the site for a wide range of activities including gorge walking, abseiling, climbing as well as paddling
